CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women’s basketball is excited to announce the signing of Wake Forest transfer, Grace Oliver.

“Bringing Grace back to BC was a huge goal of ours,” said Popovec-Goss. “She is a proven ACC talent with the toughness to be a force in the paint and the skill to consistently knock down threes and make plays on the perimeter. Not only is she one of the most efficient players in the country, but she’s proud to return to Boston. Her competitiveness and pride will infuse our locker room. Welcome home, Grace!”

A 6-foot-1 sophomore forward from Norwell, Mass., Oliver arrives at BC after one season at Wake Forest, where she led the Demon Deacons in scoring with 14.3 points per game. She shot an impressive 60.4 percent from the field, along with 73.7 percent from the free throw line and 38.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Oliver led the ACC and ranked among the top 10 nationally in field goal percentage. She scored in double figures in 22 games, including six 20-point performances. Her career-high 30-point outing came on a perfect 14-for-14 shooting performance against Gardner-Webb – an ACC record for most field goals made without a miss and one of just nine such performances in NCAA history.

She also recorded two double-doubles, highlighted by a 24-point, 15-rebound performance against BC.

Oliver was one of just three players nationally to average at least 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 60 percent from the field, 70 percent from the line, and 35 percent from three-point range. During ACC play, she ranked first in effective field goal percentage (62%), second in field goal percentage (56%), and posted a 22.3 player efficiency rating, ranking among the top 15 in the conference.

Prior to Wake Forest, Oliver spent one season at Colorado, appearing in all 32 games and averaging 3.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest. She scored a season-high 14 points against Baylor and shot 52.2 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from three.

For her career, Oliver holds averages of 8.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 58.4 percent from the field, 38.9 percent from three-point range, and 70 percent from the free throw line.

A standout at the high school level, Oliver was named the 2023 Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year and was a four-star recruit by ESPNW, ranking No. 84 nationally. She also earned multiple Adidas All-American selections on the AAU circuit and was named to the 2023 Boston Globe All-Scholastic Team, the 2023 ISL Team, and the 2023 All-NEPSAC Team.
