CARY, N.C. – The No. 15 Boston College women’s tennis team (10-13, 2-11 ACC) dropped a hard-fought 4-2 decision to No. 10 Notre Dame Wednesday night at Cary Tennis Park.
The Eagles opened the match strong in doubles play, securing the opening point with wins on courts two and three. The duo of Bella Camacho and Tola Glowacka earned a 7-5 victory, while Olivia Cutone and Leyden Games followed with a 6-4 win to clinch the doubles point for Boston College.
In singles play, Notre Dame responded with three singles wins on courts two, four and five to take a 3-1 lead. At No. 3 singles, Leyden Games earned a three-set victory, bringing the Eagles within one, at 3-2.
Notre Dame secured the match with one final win at No. 6 singles, defeating Nadia Barteck despite her first set victory.
The match at No. 1 singles between Olivia Benton and Bianca Molnar went unfinished, with Benton winning the first and leading in the third set.
