    STORRS, Conn. — Boston College dropped a 6–2 decision to No. 6 UConn on Friday afternoon at Toscano Family Ice Forum.

    The Huskies opened the scoring early in the second period with a goal just 34 seconds in. BC responded at 8:09 of the frame when Ava Thomas finished a feed from Sammy Taber and Kiera Dempsey to even the game at 1–1.

    UConn answered quickly with a power-play goal at 12:36 and followed with two even-strength tallies later in the period to take a 4–1 lead into the second intermission.

    The Huskies extended their advantage early in the third with goals at 5:36 and 7:16. Boston College closed the scoring at 19:05 as Kate Ham netted an even-strength goal off assists from Thomas and Alanna Devlin.

    Grace Campbell made 52 saves in net for the Eagles, while BC finished with a 47–58 edge in shots on goal.

    GAME NOTES

    ·       Ava Thomas scored BC’s first goal of the game.

    ·       Kate Ham tallied her ninth goal of the season.

    ·       Thomas added an assist for a two-point afternoon.

    ·       Grace Campbell recorded 52 saves.

    ·       BC went 0-for-4 on the power play; UConn went 1-for-4.
