    AnnieMac Home Mortgage announces Prav Mathur, of West Springfield, has joined the company’s Western Massachusetts Momentum Group team as a loan officer, with a license to originate in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

    He is a 15-year member of the North American One-Armed Golf Association, where he has competed around the world— including as part of the one-armed Ryder Cup team.

    Springfield Technical Community College announces the appointments of two new academic leaders: Mary Lou Vredenburg as dean of the School of Liberal and Professional Studies and Miah Dreger as dean of the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

    Vredenburg was most recently associate dean of faculty at Connecticut State Community College’s Manchester campus. She also served as associate dean of arts, humanities, mathematics and social sciences at Brightpoint Community College in Virginia. She was also a full-time faculty member at SUNY Oneonta.

    A community college graduate, Vredenburg began her academic journey at SUNY Orange. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Binghamton University and earned her Ph.D. in humanities from Florida State University.

    Dreger most recently served as interim associate dean of engineering, science and technology at Central Connecticut State University. She previously served in leadership roles within the Connecticut State Community College system, including interim provost and vice president of academic affairs at the system level, and as dean of academic and student affairs (chief academic officer) at Capital Community College in Hartford.

    She earned her Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of Hartford, holds a master’s degree in technology education from Central Connecticut State University and received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Houghton University.

    Adam Wright of Longmeadow has been elected governor of the New England & Bermuda District of Kiwanis International at the District Convention held in Connecticut. Wright will serve Kiwanis efforts for New England and Bermuda.

    The district is comprised of 18 divisions, 124 clubs and hundreds of Service Leadership Programs in schools.

    Wright has been honored with the Kiwanian of the Year Award and the Kiwanis Lifetime Achievement Award and served three terms as lieutenant governor of the district. He was a past board member of the Kiwanis Foundation of New England, A Walter Zeller Charter Fellow and the past growth chairman of New England and Bermuda Kiwanis. He has been a longtime volunteer with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and is a Jeremiah Milbank Society member. Wright is the director of marketing and communications for the law firm of Pellegrini, Seeley, Ryan and Blakesley in Springfield.

    Hampden Post Acute announced that Jennifer Crowley has been appointed as its administrator. Crowley has over two decades of experience in skilled nursing and long-term care, most recently serving as the administrator of Briarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Needham.

    Crowley’s experience also includes 20 years as a certified nursing assistant and seven years as a licensed administrator, working directly with residents. She completed her education with a bachelor’s degree in health administration and earned her administrator license.

    The Deerfield Inn announces that Jeffrey L. Bierly has been named its new innkeeper. A hospitality professional with more than 40 years of experience, Bierly is an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

    Most recently, he oversaw dual Marriott properties in State College, Pennsylvania. He also spent seven years as general manager of Cove Haven Resort in the Pocono Mountains. Bierly also served as regional director of operations for a hospitality group overseeing 11 hotels, as well as general manager for properties under the Hilton, IHG, Marriott, Radisson and Sheraton brands.

    Dr. Katherine J. Atkinson, president of Atkinson Family Practice with offices in Amherst and Northampton, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Woman Physician Leadership Award by the Massachusetts Medical Society. The award honors a woman physician who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and made outstanding contributions to patient care and the medical profession.

    Atkinson serves on the society’s board of trustees and has previously served as the president of the Hampshire District Medical Society.

    In 2005, she founded Atkinson Family Practice.

    She earned her degrees from California State University, Los Angeles, the University of Massachusetts and UMass Chan Medical School. She serves as an assistant professor at UMass Chan Medical School and also teaches students from Dartmouth Geisel Medical School and the UMass Nurse Practitioner doctoral program. She is board- certified in family medicine and obesity medicine.
