    Kevin Ozulumba rushed for two touchdowns and returned an interception for a third, while Ben Atherton rushed for two scores as No. 7 Ashland (8-1) defeated No. 10 Danvers 36-20 in Div. 4 first round football action.

    Jake Banda rushed for 119 yards and three touchdowns as top-seeded Shawsheen (9-0) rolled to a 55-14 Div. 5 first round win over No. 16 Salem. … Brady McCormack ran for three touchdowns to power No. 4 Medfield (9-0) past No. 13 Northeast, 38-6.

    Girls soccer

    Frankie Mazzini netted a hat trick, while Caitlin Nugent had a goal and an assist as fifth-seeded Braintree (10-4-6) bested No. 12 Lexington 6-0 in a Div. 1 Round of 16 matchup.

    In a Div. 5 Round of 16 game, Amya Skipper scored the lone goal as No. 11 Nashoba Tech (13-4-2) upset No. 6 Hopkins Academy (13-4-3) 1-0.

    Field hockey

    Quinn Jordan scored a hat trick, pacing No. 2 Sandwich (18-1-2) in a 6-0 Div. 3 quarterfinal shutout of No. 10 Lynnfield.
