SHE IS ASKING VOTERS TO MAKE SURE YOU GO TO THE POLLS AND MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD. THERE’S STILL TIME. TO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO COME OUT. I RESPECTFULLY ASK FOR YOUR VOTE. THERE IS AN ELECTION AT THE MAYORAL LEVEL STILL, AND THERE’S AN ELECTION AT THE CITY COUNCIL LEVEL THAT MATTERS EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR OUR DAILY LIVES HERE IN THE CITY. SO MAYOR, WHOSE MAIN OPPONENT, JOSH CROFT, HE DROPPED OUT OF THE RACE WEEKS AGO AFTER SHE BEAT HIM BY A WIDE MARGIN IN THE PRELIMINARY ELECTION. WE’RE LIVE IN THE SEAPORT SHARMAN SACCHETTI WCVB NEWS CENTER. THANK YOU. SO AS FAR AS OTHER LOCAL RACES ARE CONCERNED, WE’RE WATCHING ONE VERY CLOSELY IN EVERETT, THE INCUMBENT MAYOR, CARLISLE MARIA, IS FIGHTING TO KEEP HIS SEAT. HE HAS BEEN THE CENTER OF CONTROVERSY AFTER STATE’S INSPECTOR GENERAL DETERMINED THAT HE WAS OVERPAID. $180,000, CITY COUNCILOR ROBERT VAN KAMPEN IS RUNNING AGAINST HIM, AND IN SOMERVILLE, VOTERS CHOSE NOT TO ADVANCE THEIR CURRENT MAYOR DURING THE PRIMARY ELECTION, SO NOW THEY WILL DECIDE BETWEEN TWO CITY COUNCILORS, WILLIE BURNLEY JUNIOR AND JAKE WILSON, FOR THE NEXT MAYOR. WE’RE STAYING ON TOP OF ALL OF THESE RACES. WE’LL HAV
