At 4:30 p.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service released an updated wind advisory in effect until Saturday at 5 a.m. for Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.
The weather service adds to anticipate, “West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result,” comments the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
