    PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Boston College Men’s Fencing team opened its season by competing at the 2025 Coach Nikki Franke Classic preseason tournament at the Liacouras Center on the campus of Temple University.

    Elijah Onik was the top finisher among the men, winning the foil. The Eagles had five others compete in the foil, with Eric Li tying for third, and then Yikai Lu and Christian Ko came in the top 30. Sebastian Elwood and Henry Stirling were the final BC athletes to compete in the foil. 

    In the epee, Alex Sennewald was the top finisher, while Thomas Huang was the other Eagle competing. 

    In the saber, BC had seven entrants, and Max Denner, Luca Berman, and William Xu came in the top 10. Ryan Wong, Colin Noble, and Gabriel Babayev were all in the top 30, and William Kilgallen was the final contestant. 

    Up next: The Eagles travel to Harvard on Nov. 20 as they compete in the Beanpot.
