The ‘War for the Oar’ rivalry was renewed on the gridiron Friday night when Flat Rock welcomed in New Boston Huron for the final Huron League football game of the season.
Flat Rock was looking to make it back-to-back wins overall, following a dominant 51-14 win vs Milan a week prior, and lock up a positive regular season for a fourth straight year. Huron meanwhile was eyeing consecutive victories for the first time all season after taking of Carleton Airport last week by a final of 56-14.
On what was Homecoming Night for the hometown Rams, they were able to retain the oar on the football circuit after rolling to a 37-13 win over the visiting Chiefs.
