    Eagles Finish Second at Quinnipiac Classic

    HAMPDEN, Mass. – Boston College Women’s Gold concluded action at the Quinnipiac Classic on The Farms Country Club Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.

    The Eagles finished in second place at 35-over par (308-303=611), three strokes behind host and champions Quinnipiac. The event played 36 holes of golf after severe weather suspended the first round. 

    Graduate student Cynthia Zhang (74-75=149) placed second in the classic at 5-over par, finishing three strokes behind the individual champion. Junior Frances Kim (76-74=150) followed close behind at 6-over par to finish tied for third, logging two birdies in the final 18 holes in difficult playing conditions. 

    Sophomore Jenna Shilts (80=75=155) was the third highest finisher for the Eagles in the tournament, tying for 11th place at 11-over par. Shilts played a strong final nine holes, scoring one birdie and allowing a single bogey.

    Junior Sophie Bierstorfer (78-83=161) and graduate student Tiffany Cao (82-79=161) tied for 27th place to round out the Boston College lineup.

    Freshman Joyce Zhang (79-78=157) finished in 17th place at 5-over as an individual.

    The Eagles close out the 2025 fall slate with the Diamante Intercollegiate, hosted by Arkansas-Little Rock from Oct. 19-21.
