    CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College men’s soccer returns to the confines of the Newton Soccer Field on Friday to host No. 7 Duke in league play. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
     
    DROPPED LEAGUE MATCH TO SYRACUSE
    • Boston College suffered a 1-0 defeat to Syracuse last Friday
    • Andrej Borak finished with five saves, all in the first half
    • The Eagles posted five shots on goal
    • BC held the edge in corners, 7-6
     
    THE EAGLES
    • The Eagles enter the game with a 5-6-0 overall record and a 1-4-0 league record
    • Johannes Hanken Tjostheim leads the Eagles in points (10) and goals (5)
    • Ask Ekeland has a team-high three assists
    • Russell Brown, Bryan Toro, and Ekeland have each scored two goals
    • Borak has posted three shutouts thus far, making 42 saves across 10 games played
     
    A LOOK AT DUKE
    • Duke enters the match with a 7-0-4 overall record and a 3-0-1 record in league play
    • The Blue Devils are currently ranked No. 7 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll
    • Duke is coming off a 1-1 tie to Elon Tuesday night and 4-0 league win over Pitt last Friday
    • Alessandro Arlotti leads the team in points (19), goals (7) and is tied for first in assists (5)
    • Kenan Hot (16), Ulfur Bjornsson (11), and Leonardo D’ambrosio (10) are also in double digits for points
    • Eryk Dymora has started 10 matches in goal for Duke and has 23 saves while only conceding six goals
     
    SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THE BLUE DEVILS
    • The Eagles are 8-9-0 all-time against the Blue Devils
    • The two sides last met in the 2023 ACC Tournament in Durham, where claimed a 3-2 victory
    • BC is 0-3 against Duke in the last three meetings and is looking for its first win in the series since a 1-0 at home on Sept. 10, 2016
     
    UP NEXT
    • BC hosts AIC for a non-conference tilt on Tuesday afternoon. They return to league play next weekend with a trip to SMU on Saturday. Both games will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
