CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College lacrosse coaching staff is excited to announce Kylee Colbert, Shea Baker, Shea Dolce, and Michaela O’Connor as captains for the 2026 season.

Baker is named captain for the second straight season and is the 15th Eagle since 1995 to earn captain status multiple times. Colbert, Dolce, and O’Connor were named captains for the first time in their careers.

Baker is coming off her best season in 2025, where she was named a consensus First-Team All-American and ACC Defender of the Year. Her impressive numbers of 43 caused turnovers, 37 ground balls, and 99 draw controls were career highs and led the team. The top 25 Tewaaraton Watch List honoree was the only player in the nation to register at least 40 caused turnovers, 35 ground balls, and 95 draw controls.

Dolce was the best goalie in the country in 2025, as she was named the ILWCA Goalkeeper of the Year, the back-to-back ACC Goalkeeper of the Year, and the first goalie since 2021 to be named a Tewaaraton finalist. The senior led the nation and ACC with a career-best 202 saves and a .550 save percentage. She became one of two goalkeepers in school history (Megan McElvogue) to post 200-plus saves in a single season. The Darien, Conn., native had the highest save percentage in the ACC since 2018 and was the first to win two straight Goalkeeper of the Year awards.

Colbert started in 11 of 18 games last season and was one of six Eagles with at least 20 goals, scoring a personal high of 23 in her second season, while adding four assists for 27 points. The North Shore, N.Y. native scored a hat trick in a road win over Northwestern and scored a goal in the ACC title game against North Carolina. She finished the season with 13 ground balls and caused four turnovers.

Playing a personal-high 22 games with 22 starts, O’Connor helped anchor a defense that was second in the nation and ACC in scoring defense, allowing just 7.73 goals per game. The senior was fourth on the team with a personal-high 19 caused turnovers and 20 ground balls. She collected a personal-best three caused turnovers at Notre Dame. O’Connor posted four games with multiple CTs and had a CT in five straight games. She caused a pair of turnovers in the national semifinals against Northwestern.

The quartet and the Eagles begin their fall ball next weekend at USA Headquarters in Sparks, Md., against Navy and Denver.
