Boston College doubled its advantage just 63 seconds into the second half when Mara scored her fourth goal of the season to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead.
Army West Point cut into the deficit in the 50th minute when Maddi Woodward converted a penalty kick, but the Eagles’ defense held the Black Knights scoreless over the final 41 minutes to secure the victory.
Olivia Shippee made her first start of the season in goal and recorded three saves to earn the victory. The Eagles limited Army West Point to seven shots and five shots on target.
Boston College controlled possession throughout the match, holding 60 percent of the ball while outshooting the Black Knights, 21-7. The Eagles also earned 11 corner kicks compared to one for Army West Point.
With the victory, the Eagles improve to 6-0-0 on the season and close out the road trip with a perfect 3-0-0 record.
