CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College will return to the TD Garden hardwood for the first time in 12 years on Nov. 6 for an in-state clash with the University of Massachusetts as part of the Hall of Fame Series Boston, announced by Position Sports in partnership with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday.
“We are thrilled to bring our basketball program back to TD Garden for the first time in over a decade,” said head coach Luke Murray. “Basketball holds a special place in the heart of this city, and we are excited to re-establish the tradition of Boston College hosting games in one of the country’s premier basketball settings. We are thankful to partner with the Basketball Hall of Fame and appreciate their efforts in putting together a great night of basketball in Boston.”
BC and UMass will open the Nov. 6 doubleheader event, their first meeting at TD Garden since 2014, followed by a rematch of the 2026 NCAA National Championship Game between UConn and Michigan. This will mark the 49th all-time meeting between the two programs dating back to the 1905-06 season. The Eagles hold a 26-22 series record over the Minutemen.
