AMHERST, Mass. – The Massachusetts men’s basketball team will face rival Boston College on Friday, Nov. 6 at TD Garden as part of TNT Sports Hall of Fame Series Boston at TD Garden. The Minutemen and Eagles will square off at the NBA’s home of the Boston Celtics.
“What an incredible opportunity to once again play Boston College in our own state,” said head coach Frank Martin. “Thankful to the Hall of Fame for making it happen last year in Springfield and obviously this year at TD Garden in Boston. Boston College-UMass should make for a great game for our state.”
After UMass and BC square off, Michigan will play UConn in a rematch of the 2026 National Championship Game. One ticket is good for both games.
This will mark the first of two Hall of Fame events, with UMass also facing Wake Forest in the Hall of Fame Classic on Sunday, Dec. 6 in Springfield.
Last season, the Minutemen picked up a hard-fought 76-71 win over Boston College at MassMutual Center in Springfield. It was the first meeting in the series in 11 years. The Eagles lead the all-time series, 26-22, but UMass holds an 11-3 edge in neutral site events. Marcus Banks Jr. scored 29 points, with Daniel Hankins-Sanford adding 17 and Leonardo Bettiol scoring 12.
Prior to last season, the teams previously played at TD Garden on Nov. 16, 2014, at the Coaches vs. Cancer Tripleheader in Boston, Mass. UMass defeated BC, 71-62 on the day.
Script U Scholarship Society members may purchase tickets in the designated UMass seating sections (Sections 13 and 14). An active 2026-27 membership is required at the time of purchase, and seating locations are assigned based on Script U giving level. The ticket order deadline is Monday, Sept. 14.
