“Sam is an incredible athlete with an elite motor,” said head coach Kate Popovec-Goss. “In high school, she was All-State in volleyball, basketball, and track. On the court, she will enhance our roster with her defensive versatility, ability to rebound, and competitive mindset. We believe that Sam’s just scratching the surface of the player that she will become, and her winning mentality will enhance our locker room. We are thrilled that she chose Boston College!”
A 6-0 forward from La Crosse, Wisc., Davis put together a standout career at Aquinas High School as a three-sport athlete in basketball, volleyball, and track.
Regarded as one of the top players in the Midwest, Davis finished her basketball career as Aquinas’ all-time leading scorer with 2,167 points and the program’s all-time leading rebounder with 870 rebounds. She also totaled 366 assists and 178 steals during her career.
Davis helped lead the Blugolds to a 98-14 record during her four years, capturing four MVC conference titles, four WIAA regional championships, and a state championship appearance in 2023. She also earned
All-State First Team honors all four seasons.
As a senior, Davis averaged 22.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 3.4 steals per game while helping Aquinas finish with a 24-3 record.
Davis also excelled on the volleyball court, helping Aquinas win an MVC conference title and reach the state championship match in 2024. She finished her volleyball career as the school’s all-time leader in kills. In addition to her success in basketball, Davis was named all-state in both volleyball and track.
The daughter of Mark and Sarah Davis, Samantha has three brothers: Johnny, Jordan, and Max. She comes from a strong basketball background, as her father played at Old Dominion before going on to a professional career. Her brother Johnny played at Wisconsin and was selected in the first round of the NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards, while also spending time with the Westchester Knicks and Wisconsin Herd. Her brother Jordan played collegiately at Wisconsin and Illinois State and professionally for BC Mega Superbet.
