Wayland High School sophomore Brandon Hill was the photographer who snapped this week’s lead image, the one of Owen Harrington soaking in the adulation following his home run.

Moments like these happen around the state each day. Thankfully, readers around the world can enjoy these shots all year around because of the Globe’s unique (and free) sports photojopurnalism program.

Current students from more than 180 high schools from across Massachusetts have signed up … and there’s still room for more.

Now, with plenty of spring season still to come, is a great time to join. The first step: Simply sign up here.
