    • Group of juveniles kick man into moving train at Back Bay Station

MBTA Transit Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy who was allegedly among the group of juveniles who kicked a man into a moving Orange Line train at Back Bay Station Tuesday.

Police have not publicly identified the teen, who will be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The charge stems from an incident that occurred shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday. Transit Police said a group of juveniles assaulted a 27-year-old man on the Orange Line platform, kicking him and sending him backward into the side of a departing train.

The man suffered an injury to his forehead but was conscious and alert when emergency medics were called to the scene, according to Transit Police. The group of juveniles purportedly fled.

    The police investigation remains ongoing.

TPD detectives arrested a 14yo male juvenile today for an incident from #MBTA Back Bay on 2/18/2026. The victim was kicked during the assault & struck the side of a departing subway train. The juvenile will face ABDW charges. The investigation is ongoing.
