Seems like it was only yesterday that it was Groundhog Day.
But before anyone could put their Bill Murray-Andie MacDowell commemorative plates back in the attic, on came a flood of other special dates: Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Fat Tuesday, Lunar New Year, Ramadan, and Ash Wednesday.
In the high school sports world, one of the most balloon-filled occasions is Senior Night, which is celebrated throughout the year by just about every team in every sport.
Thankfully, the high school students contributing to the Globe’s unique sports photography program have been on hand to capture many of those festivities. See for yourself, down below, in this week’s photo gallery where there’s more than three dozen pictures of many scenes to remember
The sports photo program is free to join, open to any Massachusetts high school student. The first step: Fill out the interest form here. After, before you know it, another high schoool student will another reason to celebrate.
