Over the last several weeks, MassLive has been featuring some of the best high school boys basketball players in Massachusetts.
Our lists featured breakdowns of the top guards and forwards across the state, with a nod to the modern era of position-less basketball.

After we released each list, we turned it over to fans, who voted for which player they believe is the best of the best this season.
Here is the starting five, plus a sixth man:

Austin Meacham, Monson, Sr. (top vote-getter)
A big-time scorer, Austin Meacham surpassed 1,000 career points in a win over Hampden Charter on Jan. 14. After averaging 15.6 points per game as a junior, Meacham is averaging 18.5 points through the first 18 games of his senior season, including 28 in a win over John J. Duggan Academy on Feb. 6.

Alex Ellis, Frontier, Sr.
A versatile 6-foot-4 forward, Alex Ellis has led Frontier Regional to a 16-1 start to the 2025-26 season and is averaging 16.1 points per game (through Feb. 9). He dominated the paint in a win over Pioneer Valley on Jan. 27, finishing with a season-high 34 points.

Tre Moynihan, Agawam, So.
Only a sophomore, Tre Moynihan has already reached 1,000 career points. A varsity player since eighth grade, Moynihan averaged 20 points per game as a freshman and has increased his scoring average to 23.8 points this season (through Feb. 7). He dropped a career-high 39 points in an 89-83 win over Taconic on Jan. 21.
Domeniq Sanchez, Smith Vocational, Sr.
After averaging 23.5 points per game as a junior, Domeniq Sanchez surpassed 1,000 career points just seven games into his senior season. He’s averaging 19.9 points through the first 16 games of 2025-26, including a season-high 32 in a win over Mohawk Trail on Feb. 3.

Ryan McDonald, Walpole, Sr.
A 6-foot-1 combo guard who can score at all three levels, Ryan McDonald was a Bay Conference All-Star the last two seasons. McDonald has been lighting it up again this season, including a 37-point performance in a win over Milton. He surpassed the 1,000-point mark in a loss to Needham on Feb. 10.

Miles Fergus, Minnechaug, Sr.
A 6-foot point guard, Miles Fergus had a huge junior season with averages of 19.4 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists per game. Fergus’ minutes have been limited this season as he recovers from a dislocated ankle, but he has come up big when his team has needed him — including a 22-point performance in a win over East Longmeadow on Feb. 9.
