The Boston Bruins entered the 2025-26 season in the midst of a rebuild and a roster filled with a superstar, a few good veterans, and a mix of younger players trying to capture a spot in training camp. The Bruins currently find themselves in a playoff position rather unexpectedly. Boston a prospect pool that has been dead last in some rankings over the last few years. By his own admission, General Manager Don Sweeney knows that player development has been subpar. However, that trend is already moving upward with the drafting of Boston College standout James Hagens and the hiring of former Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid as Director of Player Development. The pool of young players is slowly improving, and The Bruins Benders Podcast released their top 30 recently. Here are players 6-10:

    Boston Bruins Prospects

    10. Ty Gallagher – Defenseman – Providence Bruins – AHL

Gallagher turns 23 years old in March and played three years of college hockey at Boston University and one year at Colorado College before signing an entry-level contract with the Boston last spring. The 6-foot, 195-pound blueliner has had a solid season with Providence, collecting three goals and four assists with a plus-8 rating in 22 games through February 6. Gallagher has also filled in with the Maine Mariners of the ECHL. The right-shot defenseman plays a major game and might find a role as a fill-in, extra defenseman in the NHL.

    9. Frederic Brunet – Defenseman – Providence Bruins – AHL

Brunet is a fifth-round draft pick who is looking more and more like a great find for Boston. Brunet is 6-foot-3, 200 pounds and has improved both offensively and defensively. Brunet is very close to making an impact in the NHL as a left-shot defenseman who can play both sides of the ice. The Quebec native has been Providence’s best defenseman and should compete of a job in Boston next fall.

    8. Will Moore – Forward – Boston College – NCAA

Moore is playing with five fellow Boston College teammates who are all Bruins prospects. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound forward will turn 19 in March and has progressed as the season as gone on at The Heights. Moore currently has four goals and six assists in 25 games during his freshman season. the 2025 second-round pick should most certainly have a bigger role at Boston College next season.

    7. Andre Gasseau – Forward – Boston College – NCAA

Gasseau was a seventh-round pick who has been very consistent in his three-plus years at Boston College. After returning from an injury recently, Gasseau has led the Eagles as captain to a resurgence in the national rankings. The California native is 6-foot-4, 225 pounds and has four goals and nine assists in 12 games. Gasseau scored his 100th point as an Eagle in a recent game and is eligible to sign an entry-level deal at the end of the collegiate season. Not bad for the 213th overall pick in 2021.

    6. Will Zellers – Forward – North Dakota – NCAA

Will Zellers was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche in a trade that sent Charlie Coyle to Denver at the time. The return on that trade seems very promising as the talented winger is producing night after night. The forward is skilled, tenacious, and flashy. Zellers has 13 goals and eight assists in 21 games for the University of North Dakota in his freshman season. During the World Junior Championships, the forward paired with fellow Bruin prospect James Hagens and was one of the top performers in the tournament, scoring five goals with three assists in eight games.
