A 6-foot-5 power forward, Tahir Bey (34) is arguably the best big man in Western Massachusetts. He turned heads at the Hoophall Classic with a 31-point, 14-rebound performance in an 80-78 loss to Pope Francis. “He brings a lot of toughness to our team, leadership,” Central assistant coach Jordan Almore said to MassLive at Hoophall. “This is his second year in the program, so he knows what we want from him, and he’s been executing very well.”
