Season two will see 11 amateur survivalists attempt to outlast each other in the Canadian wilderness, each with two family members or friends in the nearby HQ studio advocating on their behalf.
Katie Katrovil, a 29-year-old Administrative Assistant from Saratoga Springs, N.Y. is one of the 11 competitors on this season. Katies team is her sister Carly Katrovil from Longmeadow, MA and Emily Katrovil from Somerville, MA who help her make decisions from the show’s headquarters.
Season 2 of “Extracted” premiered on Monday, January 26 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX, with new episodes airing every Monday at the same time. Those without cable can watch the show for free through FuboTV or DIRECTV, each of which offers a free trial to new users. The amateur survivalists are isolated in the wilderness and must do whatever they can to sustain themselves while they’re monitored by cameras and their team back at headquarters.
At set intervals throughout the competition, the companions or the survivalists have the opportunity to aid their teammates by selecting items for survival packages (tools, bedding, food and other consumables) that are delivered to the competitors via drone.
