BC suffered a 100-49 setback to Duke on Thursday in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Jocelyne Grier netted a team-best 13 points, scoring nine of her points in the second half. Lily Carmody chipped in with 10 points to round out the leading scorers. Both players set a career best in ACC play in points.

A Win Would

– Give BC a 5-12 record.

– Watch if BC can score off Pittsburgh’s miscues, as opponents have averaged 20.3 points off turnovers in three league games.

– See if BC can limit Pitt’s second-chance opportunities, as the Panthers are averaging 15.1 second-chance points in their seven wins.

–  See if the Eagles can convert in the paint on Sunday. Opponents are averaging 33.8 points in the paint in Pitt’s losses (18.5 in wins). 

Scouting Pittsburgh (7-9, 0-3 ACC)

– Pitt is coming off a 74-55 loss to Wake Forest in its previous outing.

– Lauren Rust tied a game best with 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field.

– Fatima Diakhate registered a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

– Mikayla Johnson leads the team in scoring at 12.3 points per game.

– Diakhate’s 9.1 rebounds per game is a team high, while Theresa Hagans Jr leads the team with 60 assists. 

Series History

The Eagles own a 36-21 record over the Panthers, capturing six of the last eight meetings. Pitt won last season’s contest on its home floor, 79-66, while BC has won the previous three meetings in Conte Forum in the series.
