    Burke Lombardi’s 24 points and a standout team-wide defensive performance sparked Nantucket (2-0) in an 84-53 nonleague boys basketball win over Bourne.

    Jean Philippe notched 23 points in a well-balanced scoring effort, helping Waltham (2-1) outlast Weymouth in overtime, 67-62.

    Mathaios Stamm (22 points, eight rebounds), Bryson Mercedes (19 points, 10 rebounds) and Julian Zakak (11 points, five rebounds) finished in double figures in scoring for Newton North in a 70-58 Bay State Conference victory over Brookline.

    Grant Neal dialed up a double-double (30 points, 12 rebounds) as Lynnfield bested Pentucket 74-58 in the Cape Ann League. .. Rex Satter scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Anderson Pillis finished with 11 points and seven rebounds as Ipswich topped Amesbury, 64-58.

    Jadon Beatty (30 points, seven rebounds, assist, four steals, block) and Jack Olinto (27 points, five rebounds, three assists, steal) powered Archbishop Williams (2-0) in an 85-78 Catholic Central League victory over Bishop Feehan.

    Greg Katznelson (17 points, seven rebounds, block) and Teigan Jones (13 points, six rebounds, four steals, four assists) guided Sharon in a 50-43 Hockomock League win over Milford.

    Jack Casey had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Milo Mujalli grabbed 10 rebounds as Melrose (3-2) defeated Wilmington 48-35 in the Middlesex League.

    Cole Fletcher and Valentine Ohanmu scored 14 points apiece, while Dylan Raffle and Billy Rhee had 11 points each for Milton (3-1) in a 65-59 overtime win over Bay State Conference foe Braintree.

    Girls basketball

    Carolyn Collins (15 points) and CC Ryan (10 points) paced Winchester in a 42-29 Middlesex League win over Lexington.

    Amelia Crowe scored 15 points, while Allie Gagnon added 13 points as Pentucket (3-1) doubled up Lynnfield 42-21 in the Cape Ann League. … Lily Oliver (18 points), Ema Mustafa (13 points), Harper Brooks (12 points) and Penelope Riggs (10 points) reached double figures in scoring for Manchester Essex in a 68-45 win over Hamilton-Wenham. … Ariana Demitri scored 15 points, and freshman Kayla Berry added 14 points off the bench as North Reading (4-0) routed Essex Tech, 63-20.

    Sami O’Neil knocked down 18 points (five three-pointers), and Brooke Ryan had 14 points as West Bridgewater (3-1) defeated Cardinal Spellman 58-34 in a nonleague matchup. … Emma Plante’s 27-point, 11-rebound double-double with seven blocks anchored Case (2-1) in a 51-20 win over Diman. … Sadie Hartley-Matteson scored 11 points, while Maddie Hardy had nine points as Old Rochester (3-1) beat Falmouth, 37-28. … Alana McNamara poured in 23 points as Archbishop Williams rolled to a 69-28 victory over Somerset Berkley. … Sam Ward scored 18 points, leading Swampscott (3-1) in scoring as part of a 40-34 win over Tewksbury. … Kayla Dunlap caught fire for 30 points, pairing with Bridget Pole’s 15 points to ignite Natick (4-0) in an 80-29 win over Algonquin. … Olivia Gaynor scored 16 points and provided five assists to spark Peabody (4-0) in a 49-39 win over North Andover.

    Adrianna Porazzo erupted early with four of her six 3-pointers falling in the first quarter, setting the tone for a 28-point showing that led Foxboro over Canton, 68-28, in Hockomock League play. … With 23 points, nine rebounds and eight steals from Katelyn Kearnan, and a double-double from Reagan Cunningham (13 points, 12 rebounds), Milford held off a late Sharon charge to win 52-41.

    Shiya Morris put up 14 points, and Hailey Rubin tallied 11 points as Barnstable (2-2) took down Nauset, 47-21, in Cape and Islands League action.

    Alissa Marcella dropped 19 points, while Fay D’Angelo chipped in with 10 points as Pembroke topped Marshfield 48-42 in Patriot League action. … Maliah Pierre buried 17 points to steer Whitman-Hanson (2-0) to a 50-40 win over Quincy. … Maddie MacKinnon (11 points) and Lilah MacQuarrie (10 points) led the way for Duxbury in a 44-34 win over Hanover.

    Ellen Baranowksi scored 21 points as Norwood defeated Norton 51-23 in the Tri-Valley League.

    Mia Fougere tallied 19 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks as Mashpee beat Middleboro 47-39 in a South Shore League contest.

    Camry Williams (14 points), Kayleigh McCarthy (12 points), Haleigh Adamowich (12 points) and Kayleigh Bird (10 points) all scored in double figures for Woburn, which rolled past Belmont 71-45 in Middlesex League Liberty play.

    Boys hockey

    Nathaniel Eldridge, Jace Peardon and Patrick McDavid scored two goals each as Oliver Ames (3-0) defeated Cohasset/Hull 9-1 in nonleague action. … Sonny Saparito (goal, three assists) and Chris Giachetto (two goals, two assists) each notched four points for Stoneham in an 8-0 win over Triton. … Defense stood out enough that second-period goals from Tommy Frazier and Evan Regan was all the offense King Philip (3-0) would need, edging Westwood 2-1 in an emotional game during which it honored late girls hockey coach Ken Assad, the day after his unexpected passing.

    Girls hockey

    Eighth-grader Emma Nee scored twice and Mia Dunphy stood tall for another shutout, pacing Pembroke (4-1) in a 4-0 nonleague win over Weymouth.

    Mia Amato and Greta Tucker each dished two assists for Billerica/Chelmsford (2-1-1), which had three different goal-scorers in a 3-0 win over Westford Academy in MVC/DCL Large action.
