The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) wrapped up its 15th Global Sports Summit, FICCI TURF 2025, in New Delhi, under the theme ‘Indian Sports: Forging the Path to Global Excellence.’ The event, held at Federation House, brought together policymakers, athletes, international partners, and industry leaders to chart a collaborative strategy aimed at propelling India toward greater success in the world of sports, according to FICCI’s press release.

A significant highlight was Australia’s involvement as a partner country, indicating strengthened ties and cooperation in areas such as sports technology, high-performance training, and infrastructure development. Notable attendees included the Australian High Commissioner to India, Philip Green, and India’s High Commissioner to Australia, Gopal Baglay, alongside a roster of distinguished speakers and industry leaders like Joint Secretary Vineel Krishna and PT Usha, President of the Indian Olympic Association.

The summit also featured the prestigious Indian Sports Awards 2025, celebrating individuals and institutions driving India’s sports momentum. IOA President PT Usha received the Lifetime Achievement Award, emphasizing the need for shared responsibility in sports success. Acknowledgments went to states, organizations, and individuals excelling in sports development, infrastructure, and performance. This event was a pivotal step in shaping a new generation of Indian champions through global partnerships and disciplined governance.
