Cole Boggis crosses to Owen Ford who hammers it home in the third minute.
Division 5 girls’ final gets going — 12:25 p.m.
Third-seeded Hull (12-5-3) takes on Monson (12-10-1) in the Division 5 girls’ championship.
Hull is making a second-straight finals appearance after losing to Douglas last year, while Monson is looking to follow up on a 2023 title.

Boston International wins D5 boys title, making history — 11:55 a.m.
For the first time ever, a City school is state boys’ soccer champion after top-seeded Boston International, which lost in the 2017 final, took complete control of the Division 5 championship.

With two goals each from Nicole Proia and Abby McCauley, the fourth-seeded Redhawks capture their third title in five years, following 2021 and 2023 triumphs.

Boston International inches closer to history — 11:45 a.m.
Junior forward Henrich Saint scores and the Lions are seven minutes, plus stoppage time, from becoming the first city school to win a state soccer championship.
Natick gains some breathing room — 11:35 a.m.
Nicole Proia’s second goal of the game and 19th of the season comes from the edge of the box.

Franklin nearly ties it early in 2nd half — 11:20 a.m.
Still trailing, the Panthers got a deep 25-yard shot from Laila Rosen that smashes off the crossbar and bounces out of harm’s way. Inches from equalizing.
The first wave of games begin at noon, with 16 teams vying for the final eight Super Bowl spots.

How’s this for offense? Franklin’s Gwen Holland, a senior bound for Bryant, holds the play up and gets through a defender before taking on the goalkeeper and slotting it into the far right corner. Expert finish, wonderful composure.
Natick extends lead late in first half — 10:50 a.m.
Abby McCauley’s second goal of the game gives the Redhawks some extra breathing room.
Natick regains the lead — 10:35 a.m.
Seton-Hall bound Natick senior Nicole Proia sends a super strike into the bottom right corner, slotting it in from 30-yards out to put Natick ahead, 2-1.
Hopedale, Boston International still scoreless — 10:30 a.m.
Franklin responds, knots D1 girls’ match at 1-1 — 10:20 a.m.
Four minutes after Natick went ahead, Franklin’s Grace Marinella equalizes, this one also off a corner, which was taken by Ryleigh O’Brien.
Natick girls take an early 1-0 lead — 10:15 a.m.
Just three minutes into the Division 1 girls’ championship, Abby McCauley finds the net off a corner kick for a 1-0 lead.
Franklin made the initial stop and tried to clear, but Natick kept it in the box and McCauley got a foot on it.
First up: Division 1 girls and Division 5 boys — 9:55 a.m.
Our slate of eight championship soccer games kicks off at 10 a.m. with the Division 1 girls’ championship between fourth-seeded Natick (15-3-3) and sixth-seeded Franklin (15-5-2) at Doyle Field in Leominster. Natick won it all in 2021 and 2023 and is looking to keep up its odd-numbered year title pattern. Franklin captured its lone girls’ soccer state championship in 2012.

The boys’ are led off by the D5 final between No. 1 Boston International (19-1-2), which is looking to become the first Boston City League school to win a boys’ soccer state title, and No. 2 Hopedale (11-6-5), making its first state final appearance.
Sutton wins record 13th girls’ championship — 9:50 a.m.

It was fitting for Ava Magnuson to be right in the perfect spot.
After all, the Sutton senior has done it before. She joined the varsity squad as an eighth-grader the year the Suzies won the first championship in this run. And as her final bow, she finished off their record fifth-straight title.
Magnuson found a loose ball in the box with 32 seconds to play, smashing it into the back of the net and finishing off a remarkable run — both of her own, and for the top-ranked Suzies, who took down No. 6 Littleton at Doyle Field in Leominster to reign atop Division 4.

Glew twins deliver record 14th title for Bromfield boys’ soccer — 9:45 a.m.

Identical twins Conor and Liam Glew, naturally, have done it all together.
Why should a state championship game be any different?
The two Bromfield seniors combined, with Liam assisting Conor, for the lone goal to lift the second-seeded Trojans past No. 5 Rockland, 1-0, to claim the Division 4 boys’ soccer title Friday night at Doyle Field.
“I don’t score very much, so the fact that it came from [Liam], I was excited for it to even go in the net,” Conor Glew said.
