At 11:52 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released a wind advisory valid from 10 p.m. until Thursday 8 a.m. for Northern Worcester and Southern Worcester as well as Franklin, Middlesex, Essex, Hampshire, Hampden, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bristol and Plymouth counties.
The weather service comments, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
