For Somerville, it was Ryan Louis who played hero, scoring both of the Highlanders’ touchdowns as they improved to 4-1 with a Greater Boston League road win. Louis scored on a 66-yard TD catch and later added a 61-yard scoring scamper.

Jake Varholak had a big game for Hingham, which rolled over Patriot League Keenan rival Whitman-Hanson, 49-6, thanks to the senior’s 6-for-6 passing night, which led to two touchdowns and 139 passing yards.

In Haverhill’s 22-8 Merrimack Valley win over Lawrence, Ryan Bates scored twice, on a 1-yard run and a 15-yard catch from Michael Bayko, who threw a pair of TD passes.

The third annual Krauss Cup, established to raise funds for the family of Mark Krauss, a longtime friend of Concord-Carlisle girls’ soccer coach Peter Fishelis who passed away in 2019 after a battle with frontotemporal dementia, will be held this weekend. It will feature four teams from the Globe’s Top 20 poll.

No. 6 Concord-Carlisle will host No. 2 Wellesley at 6 p.m. Saturday, while No. 10 Winchester hosts No. 15 Lexington at the same time in the semifinals. The consolation game will be played at 1 p.m. Sunday followed by the final at 3:15 p.m. at C-C.

The Patriots and Bridgestone will host more than 150 athletes at the third annual Girls’ Flag Football Field Day at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday (3 p.m.).

Teams will run drills, compete in games, and participate in a panel discussion featuring female leaders from the Patriots, Bridgestone, and the Boston Renegades.

Players and coaches will represent Boston Green Academy, New Mission High School, Dearborn STEM Academy, and Bridgeport Sports Academy.

Charleston College junior Colby Duggan, a Phillips Andover graduate from Monson, was selected to the Preseason All-CAA First Team. The 6-foot-7-inch, 225-pound forward averaged 15.7 points on 46.1 percent shooting last season.
