King Philip led for only eight minutes, 41 seconds after falling behind, 12-0, in the first half.
The Warriors leaned on their rushing attack and the senior tandem of Tallan King (16 carries, 100 yards) and Keigan Canto-Osorio (19 carries, 68 yards).
King Philip played with more pace than usual on its final scoring drive, wearing down the Foxborough defense. King did most of the heavy-lifting, but needing a breather, he stepped to the sideline and Canto-Osorio finished off the drive with a 7-yard plunge to put the Warriors ahead for good.
King Philip (4-0) did not score its first points until a shade under seven minutes to go in the third quarter.
Limited to 3 and 4 yard runs for the most of the night, King broke a 38-yard touchdown to get the Warriors on the board.
“All year it’s always been me and [Canto-Osorio],” said King. “Thunder and lightning we call it. It’s always 5 yards at a time and then one of us will break [a long run].”
Foxborough (3-1) got two first half touchdown passes from Deleskey — 4 yards to Gabe Beaule and 43 yards to Kameron Rice.
“I couldn’t be more pleased,” said King Philip head coach Brian Lee. “We had the same approach in the both halves, but we had to toughen up and get after it.”
Abington 41, Dennis-Yarmouth 14 — Jack Reilly and Kingston Maxwell connected on touchdowns tosses of 32 and 48 yards in the first and second quarters to power the Green Wave (3-1) to a nonleague road victory. Tate Ericksen added an 84-yard kickoff return and Lee Spry got scoring started on the defensive end, notching an 80-yard pick-six.
Amesbury 22, Pentucket/Georgetown 21 — Joe Celia broke off a 77-yard touchdown run on the first series, and then punched in the game-deciding conversion in the fourth quarter for the host Red Hawks (3-0) in the Cape Ann win. Amesbury established its run game, finding the end zone for three rushing touchdowns. A missed extra point from the Panthers (2-1) prevented overtime.
Andover 49, Haverhill 0 — Junior tailback Marcus DeJesus scored three times, rushing for 163 yards on just 10 carries for the 14th-ranked Golden Warriors (3-0, 1-0) in a Merrimack Valley Conference road win over the Hillies (0-3, 0-1). Junior quarterback Kyle Olson ran for two scores and threw for another in the shutout.
Archbishop Williams 20, Ashland 12 — Ethan O’Connell (11 carries, 128 yards) ran for two touchdowns as the Bishops (3-0) earned a nonleague road win. Syer Copeland (9 carries, 94 yards) also ran one in, with Zay Whigham (2 sacks) and Keylin Taylor (sack) each providing 10 tackles.
Atlantis 31, Roxbury Prep 12 — Dasan Rooks and Matheus DeSouza clogged up the middle and combined for 14 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, and a forced fumble for the host Tritons (2-2) in a nonleague win. Brandon Carpenter completed 11 passes for 194 yards and tossed a pair of touchdowns, and Nathaniel Benevides scored on the ground and took an 86-yard kickoff return to the house.
Bellingham 42, Dedham 0 — Junior Mason Alger churned out 176 yards and a trio of touchdowns for the Blackhawks (2-2) in the Tri-Valley League win. Senior Wyatt Callery (5 tackles), junior Brock Barry (3 tackles), sophomore Ryan Adams (3 tackles), and junior William Lahousse (sack) powered the defense.
Beverly 41, Wakefield 40 — Floyd White recorded his second straight game with four touchdown receptions to power the Panthers (3-1) to a nonleague win. Quarterback Danny Pierce threw for five touchdowns and picked up another on the ground. Running back Jaden Fullerton found the end zone twice in the second half for Wakefield.
Billerica 35, Lawrence 8 —Jackson Gearin opened with a 73-yard kickoff return for a TD and the sophomore added another TD and 12 tackles for the Indians (2-1) in the Merrimack Valley Conference win. Senior Gryffin Bordeau had seven carries for 216 yards and three touchdowns.
Blue Hills 22, Diman 15 — Trailing 7-6 entering the fourth quarter, the Warriors (1-3) pocketed their first win and handed Diman (2-1) its first loss. Kanyinsola Olanrewaju (16 yards), Colton Metcalf (1 yard), and Mikey McDonagh (11 yards) scored on short runs for the Mayflower victory. Olanrewaju ran in a pair of 2-point conversions.
Canton 21, Holliston 6 — Nick Crowe rushed for 65 yards and scored twice on the ground as the Bulldogs (4-0) picked up a nonleague win.
Catholic Memorial 49, Nashoba Valley Tech 7 — Kise Flanner threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns, Isaiah Simmons had 130 all-purpose yards and a score, and Orion Fernandez reeled in two interceptions as the No. 1 Knights (3-0) cruised to a nonleague victory.
Cohasset 56, Nauset 20 — Max Monahan (15, 35 yards) and Gus Greene (73, 5 yards) teamed up for four touchdowns in a 42-point first half for Skippers (3-1) in a dominant nonleague road win. Mike Wildfire added two passing touchdowns.
Danvers 27, Winthrop 13 — Zachary Fultz totaled four touchdowns to help the Falcons (4-0) soar to a nonleague home win.
Dartmouth 33, Old Rochester 21 — Quarterback Aidan Gendron (11-14, 226 yards, 3 passing TD, 1 rushing TD), Michael Hauck (14 attempts, 106 yards, TD), and Chase Afonso (4 receptions, 75 yards, 2 TD) each turned in big performances for the Indians (4-0) in a nonleague road win.
Durfee 27, Somerset Berkley 13 — Quarterback Matt Sherry totaled 98 rushing yards with three scores, and also completed a 23-yard touchdown pass to sophomore running back Moziah Cousins as the visiting Hilltoppers (2-2) earned the nonleague win.
Fairhaven 42, Greater New Bedford 7 — The undefeated Blue Devils (4-0) hit the ground running, scoring 42 unanswered points in the first quarter. Evan Lamontagne threw two touchdowns to go with an interception and a tackle for loss defensively. Grant Darmofal scored three touchdowns, including a 50-yard punt return, and tallied 143 total yards in the South Coast Conference action.
Greater Lawrence 35, Norton 26 — Gustavo Varela took 23 carries for 324 yards and three touchdowns, adding a pair of successful 2-point conversions for the Reggies (3-1) in a nonleague back-and-forth battle. Ziah Herring had seven receptions for 51 yards and a pair of scores. Adrian Arias played well on defense with two interceptions.
Hingham 26, West Springfield 7 — Justin Kosierowski tallied 157 rushing yards and a touchdown on 22 carries to lift the Harbormen (2-1) to a nonleague win.
Hull 15, English High 8 — Junior linebacker Nate O’Hare tallied nine tackles, including two for a loss, and an interception that led to the winning touchdown for the visiting Pirates (2-2) in a nonleague win. He chipped in at fullback with a pair of receptions for 29 yards out of the backfield.
KIPP Academy 18, Greater Lowell 13 — Injuries have hampered the Panthers (1-3) to start the season, with five starters out. Junior running back Aavian Pena moved to quarterback and delivered a gem, with a 97-yard punt return touchdown, 132 yards rushing and a score, and a 26-yard passing touchdown to sophomore Ryan Reynoso with 28 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. On defense, Pena had a forced fumble and racked up five tackles. “It was a huge win for us. We were really beat up,” said coach Jim Rabbitt. “[Pena] has been a dog for us all year,” he added.
Lincoln-Sudbury 47, Brockton 6 — Senior quarterback Mason Tarantino completed 7 of 8 passes for 91 yards and three touchdowns in a nonleague victory for the Warriors (3-0). Senior Matthew Tasker rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.
Lynnfield 34, Ipswich 14 —Senior Luke DiSilvio had seven catches for 140 yards with a pair of touchdown catches and added a 55-yard rushing score for the Pioneers (1-2, 1-0 league) in the Cape Ann League Baker Division home win.
Manchester Essex 38, Triton 32 — Quarterback Zach Hurd scored three times on the ground with 159 rushing yards on 21 attempts. He was also efficient in the air completing 7 of 9 passes for 126 yards and an 8-yard touchdown to Nick Glass (6 receptions, 114 yards, TD). The pair connected twice on 2-point conversions as Hornets (2-1) buzzed to a Cape Ann home win.
Marblehead 48, North Andover 0 — Senior quarterback Finn Gallup was laser-efficient, completing 9 of 10 passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns for the Magicians (4-0) in a nonleague blanking of the Scarlet Knights (0-3).
Marshfield 22, Mansfield 18 — Senior Phoenix Beauregard scampered for a pair of touchdowns and 108 yards, junior Nate Rollinson tossed a 24-yard TD pass to senior Cole Summers in the second quarter, and the Rams (2-2) outlasted Mansfield (2-2) at home. In his first career start under center for the Hornets, junior Gio Scarpellini was 15-of-32 passing for 229 yards and two touchdowns.
Mashpee 21, Rockland 19 —Senior Brenden Andrade had three rushing touchdowns and the Falcons (2-0) survived a 19-point fourth quarter by Rockland (2-0). Senior Will Carpine had four catches for 81 yards and a TD in the South Shore loss.
Melrose 20, Swampscott 6 —Max Hoag punched in a 3-yard TD in the second quarter, the trigger for 20 unanswered points for the Red Hawks (2-1) in the nonleague win. Jack Feeney hit Parker Siebel for a 17-yard scoring pass, and Max Lanciani added a 20-yard touchdown run.
Newton North 35, Newton South 14 — Freddy Torcasio did it all for the Tigers (2-2), throwing for 213 yards and four touchdowns and picking up another on the ground in the first Garden City Bowl.
Dylan Leone rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown, while Jacob Goodwin added two receiving touchdowns in the first matchup between the crosstown, but nonleague, schools.
Norwell 50, Apponequet 13 — Jack Luccarelli scored rushing touchdowns of 85 and 63 yards while also throwing for a 48-yard score to steer the Clippers (3-1) to a dominant nonleague home win. Colin Gerhart, Keegan O’Hare, and Charlie Hajjar added rushing touchdowns while Christian Farias caught Norwell’s only touchdown reception.
Salem 20, Whittier 14 — Elvis Espinal led the way for the Witches (2-2), tallying 115 yards on 25 carries and finding the end zone three times in the nonleague win.
Seekonk 20, Sandwich 12 — Nico Bonafiglia (170 yards rushing, 70 yards passing, 3 touchdowns) controlled the air and the ground, powering the Warriors (3-1) to the nonleague home win. Bonafiglia connected with Austin Motta, Ben Fuguerido and Evan DaLuz for scores.
Sharon 44, Minuteman 14 — Senior Brady Shuffain tossed a program-record four touchdown passes for the host Eagles (2-1) in the nonleague win. Ian Ford reeled in two passes for scores.
South Shore Voc-Tech 35, Old Colony 0 — Johnny Burgio led the way for the Vikings (2-1) with 134 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and a 2-point conversion catch. Ryan Holmes added 63 yards rushing and caught two touchdowns in the Mayflower Athletic Conference bout.
Tewksbury 25, Lowell 21 —With 11 seconds remaining, senior Ben Christopher reeled in a 1-yard TD pass from sophomore Will Harrison to lead the No. 18 Redmen (3-0), the Merrimack Valley Conference win the 200th win for coach Brian Aylward.
Watertown 35, Brookline 0 — Coleman McKeen threw for 101 yards and a touchdown, while also running for 81 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Raiders (2-1) to a nonleague home win.
West Bridgewater 56, Dighton-Rehoboth/Bristol Aggie 12 — What started as a close game was blown open by five touchdowns and 211 rushing yards on 12 carries from Tyler Holmes, who led the Wildcats (2-1) to a South Coast road win. Holmes touched the ball five times in the third quarter and found the end zone three times. Armani Baptista-Pereira set the tone for the Wildcats (2-1) with two first-half touchdowns.
Westford 35, Wayland 0 — Brett Moran rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on just four carries, powering the Ghosts (1-2) to a Dual County home win. Jack Lafond added 85 rushing yards, scoring two rushing touchdowns, and throwing a passing touchdown to Teddy Hirbour.
Winchester 56, Masconomet 22 —Senior Gianni DePrimeo churned out 290 yards and five touchdowns on 16 carries for the Red & Black (3-0) in a nonleague home win over the 19th-ranked Chieftains (3-1).
