San Antonio Spurs star De’Aaron Fox recently declared that he will not be traveling with Stephen Curry on the 2025 Curry Brand World Tour next month. Basketball enthusiasts from Hong Kong to Chongqing were eagerly awaiting this partnership. However, he recently canceled it for unspecified reasons. The schedule was set by early July. Fans anticipated behind-the-scenes access to two of the league’s fastest and most dazzling guards in addition to unique sneaker drops. Nevertheless, Steph Curry was left hanging by this abrupt change in plans.

Curry Brand goes global as De’Aaron Fox announces withdrawal from 2025 international tour

The San Antonio Spurs player De’Aaron Fox and Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry were both supposed to be on the 2025 Curry Brand World Tour, which Curry Brand announced on July 8. The tour will start in August. Along the route, the team will stop at Chongqing, China, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. However, De’Aaron Fox said on Friday that Steph Curry will be travelling alone. He took to X and said: “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to travel to Asia next month,” the point guard said in a video posted to X, formerly Twitter. “This was a tough decision for me. I was really looking forward to traveling to … meet all of you and show off the Curry 2s and experience the incredible basketball culture in Asia.”Beyond the video, Under Armour, Curry Brand, and the S.A. Spurs have not released an official comment, and the player did not give a reason for his cancellation. He further said: “I’m truly sorry.. Your love for the game and unmatched enthusiasm set you apart from any other fanbase in the world.”The tour was partially based on Victor Wembanyama’s international presentation from the year before, but the S.A. Spurs player’s distinct style and G.S. Warriors player’s superstar gravitas were anticipated to steal the show during stops in the US and Asia.

De’Aaron Fox’s 2025 Curry Brand World Tour was announced on July 8. Curry Brand, Stephen Curry’s basketball shoe and clothing business under Under Armour, is expanding internationally. It will make several trips back to Asia and hold Curry Camp in China and the United States.Along with Curry Con, the brand’s first-ever basketball culture conference, this international tour will introduce the original Curry Camp concept abroad for the first time. However, the franchise owner will have to deal with this all alone. Also read: Stephen Curry highlights $25M literacy push in heartfelt Instagram post for Oakland school children
